Former chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo State, Hon. Okey Dike says Gov. Rochas Okorocha has disappointed the people of the state with his administrative style which he said has created hardship in the state.
Dike who rejected an offer of Special Adviser from the governor and returned to the PDP with over 6,000 supporters said what he saw when he identified with Okorocha’s political ambition to rule the state is no longer a reality in his administration. He lamented that the governor has dashed the hope of Imo people with his ‘know all attitude’, describing his administrtion as government of Okorocha’s family for the Okorocha’s family.’
Addressing thousands of PDP members in Nnerim- Ndugba community, Isu LGA, Dike regrets that Okorocha has brought shame to his friends and supporters by disappointing Imo people with his administrative style.
He promised to ensure that PDP wins Isu LGA in the 2015 general elections, stressing that all lovers of good governance must join hands to drive Okorocha out of Imo Government House in 2015.
Dike who is said to have worked with all the governors that ruled the state in the past assured that PDP will reclaim Imo state in the 2015 general elections.
Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha stated that Dike’s return to the PDP would surely help the party win the state, assuring that the PDP will wipe away the tears of the people by offering credible leadership.
In his remarks, Okorocha’s former associate and senatorial aspirant for Imo West zone in 2015, Chief Felix Idiga, said Dike’s return to the PDP with thousands of his supporters marks the end of the APC in the area.
Present at the event were the PDP state chairman, Barr. Nnamdi Anyahie; Member representing Nkwere/ Isu/ Njaba/ Nwangele federal constituency, Hon. Jones Onyeriri, among others.
