Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Emerges Emir Of Kano

Controversial former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Sanusi
Lamido Sanusi has emerged the preferred choice of Governor Rabiu Musa
Kwankwaso as Emir of Kano.

Gov. Kwankwaso made the announcement today flanked by four kingmakers from
the Kano Emirate namely Makaman Kano, Sarki Ibrahim, the Sarki Bai, Alhaji
Adnana, the Sarki Dawaki Mai Tuta, Bello Abubakar, and  the Madakin Kano
Yusuf Na Buhari.

Earlier conflicting report said Sanusi Ado Bayero, first son of the late
Emir was named. But that report has been discovered to be incorrect as
Governor Kwankwaso picked the former CBN Governor from the list of four
names presented to him.
