A 57 year old Evangelists, Ali Samari of Good News Church (GNC) Maiduguri, was last night murdered at his residence by Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram Islamic sect in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Spokesman of the Police in Borno State, Gedion Jibrin confirmed the incident on phone today from Maiduguri the state capital.
” Samari was trailed to his residence by two gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorist before he was shot dead.” Jibrin said.
Jibrin added that the area have since been cordon off by Joint Task Force (JTF) operatives with the blocking of three roads, while “stop and search is being intensified at the military checkpoints of Lamisula and Dandal Divisional Police Stations.”
