APC’s Lai Mohammed Is Misinformed – PDP

by Our Reporter

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party of misinformed people, who are always out to use falsehood to create tension in the country, saying; “It is myopic for the APC Spokesperson, Lai Mohammed to claim that President Goodluck Jonathan deployed security agents to block the resumption of courts in Ekiti State.”

The party in a statement issued on Thursday by its Publicity Secretary, Pastor Kola Oluwawole, said “the whole world knew it when the State Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Ayodeji Daramola ordered the closure of all courts in the State and up till today, the CJ has not issued any order reopening the courts.”

“Apart from the CJ ordering the closure of the Courts, judiciary workers in the State are also on strike and one wonders whether it was President Jonathan that ordered the judiciary workers to go on strike,” Oluwawole said.

The PDP, which also accused the APC of plotting judicial coup-de-tat in Ekiti State, said it was obvious that the APC was out to manipulate the judiciary against the popular will of Ekiti people as expressed on June 21, 2014, hence the party’s decision to rush to Abuja to file another suit, using an unregistered Young Democratic Party.

The PDP spokesperson said; “We aware of their plot to secure a court injunction, stopping the inauguration of Mr Ayodele Fayose, the person duly elected by Ekiti people as their governor.

“The plan to use Ekiti State judiciary has failed, the one in Abuja has also failed and we are aware that they are planning to use a judge in Lagos to get the devilish injunction.

“It is the frustration of their failing evil plot against Ekiti people that is making Lai Mohammed to talk like a parrot and we only hope he won’t hit his head on Olosunta Rock after October 16 that Fayose must have been sworn-in as the governor of Ekiti State.”
