The Lagos State chapter of PDP has again reiterated its resolve to conduct
a free, fair, credible governorship primary to elect its flag bearer in
the 2015 governorship election in the state.
According to the Party, the Aspirants should be rest assured that there
shall be level playing field for the process to produce an acceptable
result to all stakeholders.
Speaking for the Party, the State Chairman, Comrade Tunji Shelle, vowed
that the process will be democratic, transparent and divinely guided.
“The primary is to hold today, Monday, 8th December, 2014 from 10am. We
are expecting close to nine hundred delegates to participate in an
elective process that we promise must be free, fair and credible. We will
not give room for any hiccup as we know that lagosians are hoping on us to
take over governance from the ruling APC. Indeed at the end of the
process, lagosians will find our choice acceptable to them. We wish the
Aspirants best of Luck”
According to the Party, the list of the Governorship aspirants for the
Primary has been reduced to six with the formal withdrawal of Dr Adegbola
Dominic. The others remaining in the contest are: Dr (Mrs) Modupe
Chukwuneke; Babatunde Gbadamosi, Engr. Tokunboh Kamson; Engr. Adedeji
Doherty; Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and Olujimi Agbaje.
Meanwhile, the Lagos PDP has congratulated Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for
emerging as the flagbearer of the APC. In a confident voice, the State
chairman expressed imminent victory for PDP in the 2015 governorship
elections.
