The Joint Police/Military Security patrol being set up for effective security network in Ogun State tagged ‘Operation MASSA” will soon commence work.
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun disclosed this while receiving the Commanding Officer, 81 Division, Nigeria Army, Major General Kenneth Minimah in his office in Abeokuta.
Governor Amosun stated that the State government would ensure that all logistic supports required for effective security of lives and properties in the State were provided, while lauding the military for ensuring peaceful 2011 general elections and last Local Government election in the State.
Commending the military for its efforts in surmounting the security challenges facing the nation, Governor Amosun charged the Army leadership to improve on its facilities in all the formations in the State.
Speaking earlier, the Commanding Officer, 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Minimah assured that the Joint Police/Military Security patrol would begin operations soon, pledging that the Army would not rest on its oars towards ensuring peaceful co-existence in the nation.
