Senate Presidency: Angry Tinubu Directs 50 Senators To Conduct Fresh Elections

by Our Reporter

National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and former Governor
of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is alleged to have directed 50
Senators who attended a botched meeting at the International Conference
Center, to go ahead and elect a Senate President.

57 Senators had earlier elected Senators Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu
as Senate President and Deputy respectively.

Sources told pointblanknews.com that Tinubu’s directive is primarily aimed
at causing a major crisis in the Senate to destabilize the leadership of
Saraki who is seen as a black sheep within the leadership of the APC.

The 50 Senators were at the International Conference Center, ICC, waiting
for President Buhari who never showed up when 49 Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, Senators and Seven APC Senators elected its leadership.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that the leadership of the APC are very much
saddened with the way the political game played out in the Senate and are
currently putting finishing touches to ensure it doesn’t repeat itself in
the House of Representatives.
