The Imo state chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance may soon be engulfed by another leadership crisis if the words of some notable members of the party are taken into account.
Speaking to news men in Owerri, a chieftain of the party, Chief Udo Agoha declared that he is the elected chairman of the party in the state.
Agoha dismissed the claims of Prince Marshal Okoroaforanyanwu as the state chairman of the party, stressing that he (Okoroaforanyanwu) was not elected by congress or brought in by court ruling.
His ascension to power does not conform to the party’s constitution. It is null and void, therefore of no effect, Agoha stated.
The factional chairman maintained that the national leadership of the party under Dr. Casmir Uhegworo is determined to end all crises rocking the party in a bid to make APGA fly higher in 2015.
Agoha further dismissed reports making the rounds that the ongoing crisis in APGA would affect its chances of making a good run in n2015, insisting that his executive is set to reform the party.s
Efforts to get the reaction of Okoroaforanyanwu proved abortive, but one of his aides dismissed Agoha as an agent of confusion, insisting tha5t his boss is the authentic state chairman of the party.
