MohammaduBuhari has sent a list of 47 ambassadorial nominees to the senate
forconfirmation. President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, who read the
letter atplenary, said the president requested expedited approval of the
list.All the nominees arecareer civil servants in the foreign service.
“I have the honourto forward the attached list of 47 career foreign service
officers asambassador-designates for consideration and confirmation by the
Senate of theFederal Republic of Nigeria.
“Copies of theircurriculum vitae
are attached. It is my hope that this will receive the usualprompt
attention of the distinguished members of the Senate of the
FederalRepublic of Nigeria,” Buhari said. The nominees are:Obinna
Chukwuemeka, Salisu Umoru, Iyang Udoh, Okeke Vivian, Liman Munir,
EdemJane, Mohammed Hassan, Martin Cobham, Janet Molegbo, Itegbuoye Sunday,
OlatundeAdesesan and Lilian Onu.Others includeManaja Isa, Ngozi Ukeje,
Bello Husseini, Enoch Ducci, Garba Baba, Usman Aliyu,Umar Salisu, Momoh
Omeiza, Kadiri Audu, Balogun Hakeem, Nosa Ahmed, IbrahimIsa, Bankole
Adeoye and Ibidapo Obe.
The list of theother nominees include Ogundaro
Sakirat,Eric Belgam, Ateru Haliru, Ramota Bulima, Musa Mamman, Kabiru
Bala, AdamuShuaibu, D. A. Agiv, T.K. Gonglong, Ibrahim Hamza, K.C.
