Akoko people adopt Olusola Oke/Ganny Dauda

The Alliance for Democracy, AD, Governorship Candidate in Ondo State at

the weekend got the support of the people of the hilly city of Ikare
Akoko, the headquarters of the Akoko North East local government area of
State as they assured him of their support and that of the entire Akoko
people of their support during the November 26, 2016 election.

Indeed, at Igbede, Oke was forced by the mammoths crowd to mount the roof
of the SUV conveying a gesture which threw the crowd into a frenzy as
several struggles to clasp Oke’s extended arms.

At the olukare’s palace, Oba Akadiri Momoh, the AD candidate expatiate on
his policy plank and his rescue mission to wrestle Ondo state people from
the clutches of hunger and economic down turn.  In response, the Royal
father prayed for God guidance in his quest .

At the Palace of the Owa Ale of Ikare, Oba Samuel kolapo Adegbite
Adedoyin, the team had hectic time getting into the Palace, as the heavy
crowd barricaded the way with dance and praises.

Chief Oke in his speech reiterated his earlier stand that Ondo state was
in earnest need of rescue. He mentioned the sad episode of the non
completion of Alpha 3D, Ikare and several other moribund industries across
all senatorial districts of Ondo state. According to him, the
revitalization of these corporations would have turn around the economic
life of the people of those axis.

In his response, the Oba Adedoyin thanked Oke and his party the ADfor
picking their son Hon. Ganiyu Dauda as running mate. He assured Chief Oke
that as a true son of Ikare, he would not disappoint him.

Speaking further, the Owa Ale lauded Oke saying :”You are a grassroots
politician, and you are not a new hand in the politics of Ondo State.”
The Owa Ale, however, asked Chief Oke to consider water project for Ikare
land as a paramount project if elected. He equally requested that The
Adekunle Ajasin University needs a faculty of medical sciences and that
the hospital in Ikare be converted to a teaching hospital.

At the rally venue proper, the tumultuous crowd that had gathered as early
as 8 am, were electrified on sighting Oke and his entourage. Speaker after
speaker extolled the virtue of Oke and sum up why he remain the best
candidate to occupy Alagbaka Government House after the next election.
Hundreds of members of both opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP and
All Progressive Congress APC, defected to AD.

At a brief stopover at Ugbe Akoko, the Regent of Ugbe, Shabba Saruma
prayed for Oke and intoned: “come 2017, you will be sworn-in as the next
landlord of Alagbaka Government House”. He, however, requested for a
motor-able road to link the bridge constructed by the government of
Olusegun Mimiko in the town.

The campaign train snaked through the entire Akoko North local government
area – from Ugbe through Iporopa to Ise, Auga and Akunu. The campaign
finally concluded its activities at Ikakumo, the boundary town with Edo
State
