JTF Kill Boko Haram Commanders In Maiduguri Shoot Out

The  Joint Task Force (JTF) Operating in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital  says it killed many suspected commanders of  Boko Haram sect during a major offensive in separate locations within  the Metropolis.

Ibn Salah Ibrahim , Commander of Boko Haram terrorist in Maiduguri north west and north east was shot dead during a shootout said Spokesman of JTF , Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa in an e-mail  statement sent to reporters in Maiduguri, the state capital.

” In a sustained follow up operation this afternoon, the combined troops of  JTF Operation Restore Order, 33 Air Defence Regiment, the Department of State Security, supported with Armoured Personnel Carriers  with Helicopters conducted a majore Offensive Operations against the Insurgents terrorist at Ngaranam, Bulabilin and  Bayan Quaters areas of Maiduguri Metropolis” Musa said.

” During the Offensive and in a counter attack, a majore Commander of Boko Haram Terrorist commanding the North West and North East of Maiduguri by name ” Ibn Saleh Ibrahim” with some of his commanders and foot soldiers were killed by own Operating  troops , and the Operation is on going.” The spokesman said.

The spokesman also revealed that ” the late Ibn Saleh Ibrahim was confirmed to be responsible for the recent assassination of Nigerian Civil War Hero, the late General Mamman Shuwa through the orders of the Boko Haram Terrorist  sect leader Abubarkar Shekau”

Pointblanknews.com recalled that some top Security Personnel had two days ago brought one captured Boko Haram kingpin who was said to have participated in the killing of Late General Shuwa to meet the state Governor Alhaji Kashim Shettima at the Government House.

Sources revealed that the captured Boko Haram member whose face was covered by security forces was said to have made some confessions that led to the Majore offensive carried out by the JTF today.
