Buhari’s Visit:  How Elrufai  Ordered 11 LGs  To Provide N115M For Security,  Logistics

Beyond the glitz and glamour that surrounded the just concluded two-day visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Kaduna State, Pointblanknews.com authoritatively gathered that eleven Local government areas were mandated to make available one hundred and fifteen million Naira.
The monies so collated, according to a memo   dated 19th January 2022 from the Ministry For Local Government Affairs, addressed to the 11 local governments and signed on behalf of the commissioner by the Director Inspectorate, Iliyasu Hussaini, were to cater for additional security support to security agencies.

The memo also stated that the monies will also be deployed for logistics preparatory to the visit of of the “President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Kaduna State for commissioning of projects”.

The memo further instructed that the LGs to “ensure strict compliance with budgetary provisions and financial rules and regulations on the expenditure”.

From the memo exclusively obtained by Pointblanknews.com Jama’a, Kaura, Zangon Kataf, Chikun, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Igabi, Sabon Gari, Giwa, Soba, were made to pay 10,000,000 each (ten million Naira), while Zaria was made to pay the highest of N15,000,000 (fifteen million Naira)

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to commission projects during his two-day visit to Kaduna State, which begins today and ends tomorrow.

The President, penultimate Wednesday, visited Kaduna, Zaria and Kafanchan – the three major towns – and was also conducted round by government officials on road projects across the state, which were executed by the Governor Nasir el-Rufai administration.

In the visit that ended Thursday,  President Muhammadu Buhari  also commissioned the reconstructed Kawo flyover, which has three grand rotaries and access roads, and the WAFF Road, which has been dualised with junction improvement.
