Jonathan Announces Sambo As Running Mate

Emerging as the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,

PDP, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan immediately announced Vice
President Namadi Sambo as his running mate in the 2015 Presidential
elections, knocking off speculations he might drop the VP.

He named Sambo as vice president shortly after the death of President
Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. Sambo was before his assumption as VP, the Governor
of Kaduna State in 2010.
Jonathan in his acceptance speech, described Sambo as ‘loyal and humble.’
The president promised to strengthen the fight against corruption and
reconcile aggrieved members of the PDP.
