The governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has been reelected as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state.
The incumbent, who was returned unopposed, polled over 300 votes during the primary which was held in Awka on Saturday.
However, Mr Ejimofor Opara, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary had announced that over 3,260 delegates will take part in the primaries.
Governor Soludo, who has been endorsed by various groups and individuals for a second term in office, has been praised for his developmental strides and commitment to peaceful and stable politics.
Reacting to the development, the party’s National Working Committee, led by Ezeokenwa Sly said Soludo’s reelection is based on his track record.
“This development marks a significant milestone in the history of Anambra State elections, as Governor Soludo becomes the first aspirant to seek re-election based on his proven track record of performance.
