—–urges him to be magnanimous in victory
President of the Senate Senator David Mark has congratulated governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state over his victory at Saturday’s gubernatorial election in the state.
Senator Mark in the congratulatory message asked Aregbosola to be magnanimous in victory saying that he surely needs all the stakeholders to move Osun state to the next level.
He stated that the citizens of Osun state deserves good governance and dividends of democracy as rewards for their investments as expressed in their votes on Saturday.
“As the Governor of Osun state, you are a father figure to all and a leader on whom the citizens of the state look up to. Therefore, it is incumbent on you to carry every body along . You must strive to give every body irrespective of religion or political affiliation a sense of belonging.”
Senator Mark in the same vein enjoined other candidates in the polls to rally round the incumbent governor in the task of providing leadership and dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
” I must also commend the good people of Osun state, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security operatives for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the election “, the Senate President stated.
He believed that the good conduct of the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states have laid a smooth and solid foundation for the conduct of the 2015 general elections .
