APC Set To Uplift Nigeria Through Good Governance

The All Progressive Congress (APC) on Tuesday in Abuja, expressed the determination to uplift Nigeria through good governance,  if it emerged as a political party.

APC Spokesman, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said this on Wednesday in Abuja when he addressed Journalists at the end of the committee on APC merger.

He added that APC’s primary objective was to deliver the dividends of democracy to “all citizens.”

According to him, ACN, CPC, ANPP, APGA, are going to form one formidable political party to change the political land scape of Nigeria in a manner that “we have not witnessed before”.

On the reports of the sub committees in respect of the merger,  Mohammed stated that each committee had done “excellently well” within the two weeks time frame given to it.

The spokesman added that the committees on the manifesto of APC, constitution, logo and meeting INEC’s legal criteria for compliance “really performed credibly.”

On the items of APC’s logo, Mohammed said that the broom indicated the unity of the political parties involved in the merger while the different colours represented the political parties.

According to him, the challenges that arise during the processes are always amicably resolved by the members.

“We have challenges but in the spirit of sacrifice and the bid to rescue Nigeria, everybody  has made up  his or her mind to sacrifice, “he said.
