Nigerian activist and social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM)has brushed aside recent prophecies predicting his death, urging the prophets involved to channel their visions towards national development instead.
Two clergymen , one Nigerian and the other, a Ghanaian , had publicly claimed to have received divine revelations about imminent danger over VDM’s life, with one specifically warning that his death could occur in a river-related incident.
Reacting in a video posted on his social media page, the outspoken critic said he was unfazed by the warnings, insisting that death is inevitable for everyone.
“Death is inevitable and is coming for all of us. You’re seeing vision for me as if I’m one person that thinks I’m important; I am not important.” he said
He further challenged the prophets to focus their spiritual gifts on issues that could transform Nigeria, rather than making personal predictions about him.
“Tell us a vision about our country. Tell us when Nigeria will be a great country”, he added.
Due to his daring confrontations and his tendency to take strong positions on controversial issues, VDM has crossed paths with many. He is currently in court on sundry issues, and his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, recently cautioned him to be mindful of what he says and how he confronts people.
VDM, known for his bold takes on political and social issues, maintained that such prophecies do not distract him from his advocacy.
