The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested a 27-year-old TikTok content creator, Ukasha Yahaya, popularly known as UK International, over videos showing him hugging, carrying, swimming and bathing with women.
The Deputy Commander General of the Hisbah Board, Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, September 17, 2026, saying Yahaya was apprehended after the board received intelligence that he had entered Kano.
Yahaya, who is from Gusau, Zamfara State, but resides in Abuja, is being detained while investigations continue.
During questioning, he reportedly told the Hisbah authorities that he could not remember how many videos he had produced featuring women.
Yahaya said some of the videos had attracted between one million and three million views, adding that the women approached him because of his work as a content creator.
He also admitted that his mother and others had repeatedly warned him against producing such content.
When asked whether he could involve his sisters in his videos, Yahaya reportedly said they were all married.
He added that he had been considering quitting such content as he prepared for marriage.
Yahaya apologised for his actions and promised not to repeat them.
Aminuddeen said the content creator would be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation.
He also warned young people against producing TikTok content that violates the moral and religious standards enforced by the Hisbah Board.
“Yahaya would be charged to court after the investigation,” Aminuddeen said.
He added that the board would continue to caution youths against producing social media content considered contrary to the state’s moral and religious standards.
