Because Nigeria is a country that promotes mediocrity in all most all facets of its life, people like Mu azu Babangida Aliyu, Murtala Nyako and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso can be smuggled into positions of authority and by implication head institutions and even states courtesy of their godfather Obasanjo.
It is on record for example that Murtala Nyako destroyed the Nigerian Navy in connivance with Ibrahim Babangida.
Rabiu Kwankwaso as the so called minister of Defence during Obasanjo’s second tenure was said to have stolen military pensioners’ pension money. That led the pensioners’ to protest on the street in major Nigerian cities.
In the case of Babangida Aliyu, the guilty are always afraid of even their shadows. That is the case with him. Ordinarily one would have thought that as “His Excellency”, I would expect him to be honourable and honest. But alas, his case is becoming worst whenever he opens his mouth to the press. He blames everybody real and imaginary. Whenever speak the truth, he is bitter about and will claim that people have collected money from Abuja. Can Mu azu Babangida Aliyu please tell us where he collected his own money he wasted together with other rebel governors when they went on that useless frolic of galvanising bitter against the office of the President of the
Federal Republic?
Babangida Aliyu is a pathological liar and an Islamic fundamentalist no doubt about that.
It is a fact that about forty five to forty eight (45%-48%) of the population of Niger State are Christians. Source is the demography of the
2006 census.
It is also a fact that that why Nuhu Kure had a Christian in the person of Mr Zabayi as his deputy governor from 1999-2007.
If Mu azu Babangida Aliyu is claiming to be a man of equity and justice as he has been shouting all over the place, why did he not follow the path of honour like his predecessor and have a Christian as his deputy? Barr. David Umaru the gubernatorial candidate of the then ANPP who actually won the election anyway had a Muslim as his running mate.
Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) secretary was merely said the truth when he said that Mu azu Babangida Aliyu is a man of injustice. Which he actually is.
The fact is Babangida Aliyu is a specialist in blackmail and telling lies. He has been the one lying that there has been a one term agreement between Northern governors and President Jonathan. Initially he said the agreement was signed in 2010, later on he said it was signed in 2011. But when President Jonathan debunked all those lies that if there was anything agreement, the rebel governors would have shown the press, he still lied that Dr Jonathan made the one term statement in Ethiopia. Haba Babangida Aliyu, why is there no honor in your mouth your “Excellency”? Remember sir power comes from Allah and he gives it to whoever he wants.
Dr Mu azu Babangida Aliyu, people like you are the problems of the Northern part of Nigeria and Nigeria in general.
In a pleural state like Niger, if the governor is a Muslim, the deputy should be a Christian. Likewise states like Borno, Kebbi, Katsina, Bauchi and Yobe. That is if we are still preaching one monolithic Northern Nigeria. All northerners whether Christians or Muslims or even pagans should have equal opportunity in all institutions and organisations. That is the practise in Southern Nigeria. That was the practise in Sir Ahmadu Bello’s Northern Nigeria and during Alhaji Shehu Shagari’s time. Your big brother the self styled evil general genius Badamasi Ibrahim Babangida came and introduced enmity in Northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole.
A situation whereby well qualified and world class celebrated Northern Christians like Professor Andrew Nok, Obadiah Mailafiya, Professor Sunday Bwala (World Class Neurosurgeon) are denied headship of Teaching Hospitals in Maiduguri, Zaria, Bauchi and even University Vice Chancellorship of ABU, Unimaid, ABTU does not speak of unity and justice in the North.
Unfortunately people like are breeding disciples of hate in the persons of Shehu Sani, Junaid Mohammed and Khalid Aliyu with their open sponsorship and support for Boko Haram.
The North can make amend and carry all Northerners along.
Therefore Mu azu Babangida Aliyu as the chairman of the Northern Governors Forum you can set the ball rolling in Niger State. Appoint Sam Nda Isaiah as your deputy or your successor in 2015 more so he has been your hunting dog.
You can as well call the conference of all Northerners as a starting point.
As it is now, Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State is just a liar a hater of Northern unity who is bent on heating the polity unnecessarily seeking relevant post 2015.
