First Lady Pledges To Perform In New Role As Permsec In Bayelsa State

Wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan says the office of First Lady will not in any way hinder the performance of her statutory duties as Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Civil Service.

Dame Jonathan stated this while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after being sworn-in as a Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Civil Service by Governor Seriake Dickson at Government House Yenagoa.

The First Lady expressed gratitude to the Governor for her appointment and pledged to justify the confidence reposed in her by working assiduously to deliver the dividends of democracy and good governance to the people of the state.
