MADUMERE CALLS FOR EXECUTIVE, JUDICIARY COLLABORATION

Imo state deputy governor, Prince Eze Madumere has called for the continuation of the synergy existing between the executive and the judicial arms of government in the state.

 

Madumere who stated this at the opening ceremony of the 2013/2014 legal year at the High Court complex, Owerri, wished the judicial members a hitch free legal year and promised that the state government will continue to support the judiciary.

 

The deputy governor further called on the residents of the state to continue to support the Rescue Mission programme of the Gov. Rochas Okorocha administration as it has made great sacrifices for the betterment of Imo state.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Chief Judge of the state, Justice Benjamin Njemanze, commended the deputy governor and stated that his presence shows that the state government is always in support of the judiciary in the state.

 

Earlier in a church service to mark the occasion at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Egbu, Bishop of Egbu Diocese, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okoroafor advised members of the judicial arm to stand up for the truth in all matters, irrespective of the personalities involved.

 

The cleric urged them not to be biased in the administration of justice and prayed God to bless God to lead them through the legal year.
