United Nations bomb blast mastermind, Habib Bama, who was yesterday captured by Nigerian security forces is dead.
He died of excessive bleeding having sustained serious bullets wound in a shoot out.
Top security officials in Damaturu confirmed the death of Bama to Point Blank on phone today.
“The truth is that Habib Bama is dead. He died of excessive bleeding” the security official said.
Bama was a key mastermind of the Madalla chrismas day church bombing , United Nations Building bombing and has been under serious search light of security operatives.
He was arrested after serious exchange of fire with security forces while he was trying to sneak out of Damaturu town on yesterday.
Security sources said he was badly hit by bullets and doubted if he would survive the injury.
The Commander of Joint Task Force(JTF) in Damaturu, Col. Dahiru Abdullsalam, had confirmed the arrest but refuse to make confirmation of Bama’s death today. The late Bama,was a dismissed soldier in the Nigerian army.
Impeccable sources in the security network had revealed that Bama was among those that came to lead the attack in Damaturu on Monday.
“Habib Bama would have escaped from Damaturu on Tuesday, but the 24 hours curfew that was imposed in the city prevented his escape until when he attempted sneaking out of the city today and our men who got the wind of his move, quickly closed in and pinned him down”, said the top military personnel.
