waters as Jigawa state chapter of Northern Youth Forum (NYF) has urged the
National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to
investigate
and expel him over anti-party activities. The youths in a statement signed by NYF Publicity Secretary,
Sani Talba Auyo and made available to Pointblanknews.com insisted that recent
comments made by Sule Lamido against the PDP and President Goodluck Ebele
Jonathan were self-serving and for the interest of the North or the masses.
While hailing President Jonathan Transformation Agenda and
ambition to rule Nigeria after 2015, NYF described Sule Lamido as “an
ingrate and selfish politician.
According to the statement, Governor Lamido, being a
beneficiary of the PDP and President Jonathan administration, lacked the
moral standard to criticize the PDP-led government.
Our attention has been drawn to the recent unguarded utterances of Jigawa state Governor, Sule
Lamido designed to score cheap political publicity.
Governor Sule Lamido is well known for his political antics
of open disobedience to his political mentors like the late Malam Aminu Kano,
the late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi. We , as a group are disturbed.
Governor Lamido is uncomfortable with the growing number of
Nigerians asking President Jonathan to contest in 2015. What we may not
explain is whether Governor Lamido is driven by envy or just cheap publicity, but we
are calling on Nigerians to ignore the ranting of Sule Lamido and maintain
their support and solidarity to the transformation agenda of President
Jonathan.
It is now evident that Governor Lamido has not stopped
launching attack against Nigerian leaders when they refuse to submit to his
blackmail. This means leaders will only be in peace after his personal
political goals are met.
In Lamido history of anti-party activities, it is clear
that he never had the masses at heart. He never thinks of the North as his
constituency, but his personal political goals as the North agenda. Most
importantly, we call on the PDP National Leadership to bring an end to this
cheap blackmail by expelling Governor Lamido from the party, the statement
concluded.
