The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed the national convention
of the party scheduled for Saturday.
Announcing the postponement in Port Harcourt, Acting National Chairman of
the party, Ali Modu Sheriff, said the postponement was in obedience to the
various court orders against the convention
Speaking at the Le Meridien Hotel in Port Harcourt, Sheriff said the party
was a law abiding party and would, therefore, subject itself to the rule
of law.
“We are a responsible party. We have postponed the convention until the
court cases are resolved “, he said.
He noted, however, that he remained the chairman of the party.
