STOP WASHING YOUR DIRTY LINEN IN PUBLIC, IGBO YOUTHS TELL OKOROCHA, OBIANO

Worried by the media war between Anambra state governor , Willie Obiano
and his Imo counterpart, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, a group; World Igbo Youth
Council (WIYC) has warned the two leaders to maintain peace and stop
washing their dirty linen in public or face sanction, stating that youths
has waded into the dispute.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Alex
Okemini, the group urged the two Igbo governors to face the task of
delivering dividends of democracy to their people and stop wasting tax
payers’ money on unnecessary media warfare.

“The World Igbo Youth Council hereby warns the Governors of Imo and
Anambra states, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Chief Willy Obiano to stop
washing their dirty linings outside or they will face the sanction of Igbo
Youths.

“Meanwhile we have decided to wade into the matter to unveil the remote
and immediate cause and we call on the two Governors and their
sympathizers to cease hostilities in the interest of Ndigbo ,” the
statement read.

The youth group urged the newly inaugurated leadership of the Ohanaeze
Ndigbo led by Chief Nnia Nwodo to intervene in the matter, describing it
as the first test of the capacity of the Nwodo leadership.
