Suspected Boko Haram Members today attacked a Police Station and killed three Policemen on duty in Buni Yadi, Gujba local government area of Yobe State. Military Official said.
Spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF) Lieutenant Lazarus Eli confirmed the attack and subsequent killings of the three policemen on duty in a press statement made available to reporters in Damaturu, the state capital.
“In the early hours of today, gunmen attacked the Divisional Police Station at Buni-Yadi, Gujba Local Government of Yobe state. Three policemen were killed, some arms carted away,” Eli stated in the statement.
Lieutenant Eli added that the JTF responded swiftly to a distress call and beefed up security in and around Buni Yadi town 60 kilometres away from Damaturu, the state capital to forestall further attacks.
