$3 MILLION BRIBERY SCANDAL: LAWAN, EMENALO SACKED FROM FUEL SUBSIDY COMMITTEE

Embattled Chairman of the Fuel Subsidy probe Ad-Hoc Committee, Hon. Farouk Lawan and his secretary, Bernard Emenalo have been sacked by the House of Representatives over their involvement in the $3 Million bribery scandal.

Swiftly, the House picked Hon. John Enoh (PDP, Obubra, C’River) as Chairman of Oil Subsidy Committee.
 Lawan currently being questioned for his involvement in the $3 million bribe scandal.

The removal of Lawan and Emanalo from the ad-hoc Committee was done prior to the House deliberation of the allegation of bribery leveled against the subsidy probe committee.

The lawmakers also vowed to investigate the bribe scandal involving the Chairman of the House Ad-Hoc Committee on Fuel Subsidy, Hon. Farouk Lawan and a major petroleum products marketer.

Tambuwal, while addressing the lawmakers during Friday’s emergency plenary session said the resolutions of the ad-hoc committee remain valid despite the current position the House had found itself.
