Anambra PDP celebrates victory at tribunal

by Our Reporter
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra state chapter has celebrated
the victory of the members of National Assembly under the party’s
umbrella at the election petitions tribunal sitting in Awka.

Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu, Publicity Secretary of the party in the state made
this known  in a statement in Awka on Tuesday.

He congratulated Sen. Uche Ekwunife and  Sen. Stella Odua representing
Anambra Central and Anambra North senatorial districts respectfully.

The party also congratulated Hon. Vincent Ofumelu representing
Oyi/Ayamelu federal constituency and Hon. Valentine Ayikka representing
Njikoka/Anaocha/Dunukofia federal constituency for their victory at the
tribunal.

Nwangwu said the election tribunal victory of the senators and House of
Representatives members was a confirmation that the election which took
them to the Red and Green Chambers of the National Assembly was properly
conducted.

He said it was a good thing that the rigours of going to the tribunal
are over as the distinguished Senators and House of Reps members can now
concentrate on making democracy dividends available to their
constituents.

He said the party was proud of the federal lawmakers who have been
justifying the confidence reposed in them by their people.

Nwangwu said with the victory at the election petitions tribunal,  the
good people of the state can be rest assured of quality, resposible and
responsive representation in the National Assembly.

“The entire PDP family in Anambra state is happy about the victory of
our distinguished members”, he said.

Nwangwu reassured  that the victorious legislators would individually
and collectively use their positions to attract the federal government
and the international organizations to their constituencies in
particular and the state in general.

Nwangwu also thumbed up the judiciary for getting it right as their
judgement is a reflection of the common wish of the people of Anambra
state.
