How U.S Senators, Congressmen Ordered Release of Sowore

by Our Reporter
Four United States Senators and two Congressmen wrote a strong worded letter to the Attorney General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami, demanding that the Federal Government of Nigeria release the convener of RevolutionNow protest and publisher of Saharareporters, Omoyele Sowore, who has been in detention since August 2019.

Senators Bob Menendez, Charles Schumer, Christopher Coons, Corey Booker, Congressmen Bill Pascrell Jnr and Josh Gotheimer in a letter addressed to Attorney General Malami, dated December 20, 2019, drew his attention to the consequences of abusing rule of laws.

In what appears a veil threat, the U.S Senators and Congressmen said the only the respect for the rule of law can continue to pave the way for U.S support to Nigeria.
