items to Olujimi as Covid-19 relief package; insist “Olujimi not
wanted in APC”
Some youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State,
under the auspices of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC), have commended
the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, for returning to the Senator
representing Ekiti South Senatorial district, Biodun Olujimi, food
items she delivered to some Local Government party secretariats of the
APC as Covid-19 relief package.
They said that sending over 2,000 packs of food items to Olujimi in
her hotel was the best way to tell the Senator that “in APC, we have
enough food to eat; we don’t need your miserable food items.”
The APC youths, which insisted that the foods items were Greek gifts,
declared that Senator Olujimi must stop patronizing the APC in Ekiti
State as she is not wanted in the party.
According to a press release issued by the youths on Thursday, and
jointly signed by Mr. Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji Adeleye, EAYC
Convener and Secretary respectively, “by delivering over 2,000 packs
of food items to a hotel in Ado Ekiti, owned by Senator Olujimi,
Governor Fayemi has demonstrated that he is a listening governor, who
will always defend the integrity of the APC and its members.”
They however urged the governor to clear the air on the allegation
that he sold Prince Adeyeye’s mandate to Senator Olujimi because of
2022 governorship.
The EAYC insisted that it was an insult for someone who used her
manipulative ways to snatch the Ekiti South Senatorial seat from the
party’s original winner, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye, to now turn around
and be dropping food items at our party secretariats for distribution
to our members.
The youths said the APC Local Government chairmen, who accepted that
the food items from Senator Olujimi be delivered to the party
secretariats must be sanctioned for bringing the party to ridicule.
