SENATOR Ifeanyi Okowa polled, 406 votes, Monday night, to win the
governorship primary of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State.
David Edevbie, who was endorsed by the Urhobo Progress Union scored 299
to clinch the second position.

Orubebe, 49, Godwill Obielum, 22, Sylvester Monye, Ovie Omo Agege, 10, Sam
Obi, 10, Peter Okocha, 6 votes, Tony Obuh, 5, Sam Obi, Charles Emetulu, 4
votes, Kenneth Gbagi, 2, Mike Uwaka, 1
Meanwhile, Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has urged losers in the
governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support the
winner in the interest of the party.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote at 7.35 pm, the Governor said it
was important for losers to accept defeat in good faith as sportsmen and
true democrats.
“Losers should be ready to work with the winner,” he said.
He described the primary election as “peaceful, orderly and well organised.”
