Bayelsa poll: I will liberate bayelsans from poverty , says Sylva

All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Bayelsa State,
Timipre Sylva, has unveiled his blueprint to transform the state if he is
elected December 5.

Speaking before party bigwigs, supporters and private sector moguls, said
his programmes are integrated and designed to affect the lives of
Bayelsans at all levels.

He said that the people of Bayelsa State have keyed into the change mantra
of the APC and are looking forward to meaningful leader; adding that if
elected he would liberate the people of the state from poverty and fear.

“The four legs stand as the standard of my administration. The four
pillars include one, to enhance revenue and diversify the economy; two,
job and wealth creation; well-being and security; and four, effective
public service,” he said.

“Bayelsans are yearning for a change as 99 percent of Bayelsans are not
feeling the impact of governance in the state.

“More than ever before, the need for a change in guard is now urgent to
stop the bleeding, reposition the state to deliver high-quality democratic
dividends to the citizenry and pull the people out of poverty.

Earlier the head of his campaign and minister of state for agriculture,
Chief Heineken Lokpobri, praised the candidacy of Sylva and noted that
about 75 percent of Bayelsans have indicated the zeal to vote out
incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson in less than a month.
