KWANKWASO: In Kano For Condolence visit or his 2019 Presidential Campaign?

by Our Reporter

It’s very unfortunate to see how someone’s mourning of his dear mother’s death turned into political arena. This was Kwankwaso at his best when he came to Kano recently from Abuja for condolence visit’ over the death of Gov. Ganduje’s mother. I think if Kwankwaso has no respect for the bereaved, he should, at least have respected the late old woman (Hajiya Fatima). If such thing had happened to Kwankwaso, Would he had been happy? Though, no one is in Governor Ganduje’s mind. But, the way he respected his mother, he shouldn’t be happy with the way Kwankwaso treated him.

In this dwindling economy that a responsible leader ought to be very much concerned, Kwankwaso hired private jet to Kano and shared T-shirt and posters among his blindfold but misguided followers for his 2019 presidential campaign, without caring for the wellbeing of the people.

One should pray for Kwankwaso not to receive the same unfortunate but ugly treatment given to Ganduje whenever he, Kwankwaso losses any relative, especially the way he did at Ganduje town under the facade of condolence visit to his Excellency, Governor Ganduje.

It is now clear that the former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has not given up his dream of becoming the Nigerian President, looking at what transpired recently when he came to Kano to showcase his desperation presidential campaign at a time the country is undergoing surgical operation. This is dastardly and ignoble.

It’s still very fresh in our minds how Kwankwaso fought tooth and nail, using public fund to bring ‘down’ Buhari. Till the eve of the last presidential election, Kwankwaso plotted how Buhari should have lost.

It is of public knowledge how Kwankwaso sponsored useless agenda that Buhari had no School Certificate. Kwankwaso tried by all means to ensure President Buhari’s disqualification so as to earn him credit of being picked as presidential candidate of APC as the second runner-up in the party presidential primary. All these political machinations did not see the light of the day.

In fact, Kwankwaso’s annoyance after being defeated in the presidential Primary made him part way with some of his closest friends for their refusal to give him delegates from their states. These are the likes of Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers, Wamako of Sokoto and many others.

The death of Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s mother must have scattered his plans. A source close to Kwankwaso revealed that Madugu made a promise that he would not be in the state for at least two years, because if comes, it would be a serious showdowns.

It was crystal-clear that Senator Kwankwaso had no intention to visit and condole his loyalist and close friend (Governor Ganduje) over the demise of his mother. But looking at it that his absence may wane down his little affection with people, he changed his plan and  sponsored thugs, rented crowd, posters and T shirts carrying his picture and with captions “daga Daura sai Madobi”. Meaning after President Buhari he is the next president.

If not of his plan to come to Kano for political show of dwindling relevance, one sees no reason why Kwankwaso failed to come to Kano and condole with Abba Kabir, his former commissioner for the loss of his mother; Ali Baba, his Former SA who lost his Father and Alhajiji Na goda who lost his wife simply because of Kwankwaso’s diabolical plan.

There were many unfortunate incidents in his constituency such as the Bomb Blast at GSM Market, Fire outbreaks in almost four Boarding Schools and the last fire incident in Singer Market which consumed billions of Naira, yet, Kwankwaso did not give concern. It is his presidential ambition and the plan to display his dwindling Political relevance in Kano politics that he refused to honour and sympathise with the people of his constituents.

Findings also show that what lured Kwankwaso to attend the condolence visit was simply to be noticed, using the misguided elements in the state.

There were Ministers, Governors, Commissioners, wealthy Individuals and a lot of very important personalities that came to Kano and condoled with Dr. Ganduje and left unnoticed. Such are the real men of God with clean hearts.

Why should a condolence visit attracted thugs carrying dangerous weapons and hired political praise singers? Why Kwankwaso didn’t attend the burial of Governor Ganduje’s Mother? Why Kwankwaso waited for the three days to visit the state? Still. Why Kwankwaso refused to come to kano on sunday to spend the night so that he can participate in the third day prayer? Why Kwankwaso did not make his visit low keyed as others sitting Governors did?

Why Kwankwaso didn’t follow the 7.45 am flight from Abuja to Kano, at least, to be able to participate in the third day prayer?

Answers to all these questions simply show that Kwankwaso Visit to Kano was politically motivated and a way to kick start his campaign for his 2019 presidential ambition, which he has been nursing. This was why his sponsored thugs wore T-shirts, carried printed posters with dangerous weapons. Let Kwankwaso and his ilk know that time is of essence and that his time is up. The early they realise this fact, the better for them. A word, they say, is enough for the wise.
