The Miss Ashley Miriam Yusuf Foundation recently treated over 500 orphans and displaced kids to great goodies in the spirit of  the 2016 Children’s Day.

Held at Norcross Primary school Otukpo, the event featured  singing, dancing, quiz, debate, story telling and other games.

According to the Queen of Idoma carnival, her foundation did this to ” put a smile on the face of the needy, contribute in whatever way within her capacity to alleviating the plights of the under privileged.

Recall  that the queen alongside 2 of her siblings (Rasheeda and Haruna) had a ghastly accident while on their way to the event,  but out of a firm determined soul, she persisted to host her pet event against odds.

In a bid to motivate the pupils towards good conduct, the queen gave out awards in the form of textbooks for both primary and secondary schools, note books, t-shirts, face caps and cash donations, even as she donated paint for the renovation of the host school.

The occasion was graced by notable faces which includes; immediate past minister for interior, Comr. Abba Moro, initiator of the Agila Carnival Prince Edwin Ochai, the Commandant Homeland Defence James Oche among others numerous to mention.

High points of the occasion was the presentation of awards and the observation of one minute silence for the dead and living victims of Agatu massacre.
