Elrufai Orders Sacking of Civil Servants Over 50yrs, Converts Others To Casual Workers

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Elrufai has directed the compulsory
retirement of civil servants in Kaduna state who are over the age of
50years while others are to be converted to Casual Workers, according to a
memo obtained by pointblanknews.com

According to the memo dated 3rd January 2019 and signed by the Governor’s
Principal Secretary, Salisu Suleiman, he directed that no Local Government
should have more that 50 staff.

The memo said all categories of officers on Grade Level 01-06 are to be
converted to Casual Engagement, officers on Grade Level 14 and above even
if they are less than 50years old are to go on compulsory retirement while
those over 50years are also to go on retirement.

Since his sacking of about 22,000 teachers, Governor Elrufai
administration has been trailed with all manner of controversies many of
which has threatened his second term ambition.

Desperate to win a re election, he has engaged in all manner of subterfuge
to woo the people he once trampled on with his anti-people policies.

Recently, a Government House source confirmed to Pointblanknews.com that
Elrufai mandated the Secretary to the State Government, SSG Balarabe Abbas
Lawal and the Head of Service, Hajia Bariatu Mohammed, to direct all
Directors in the State Civil Service to deliver their polling units of be
fired.

“The SSG and Head of Service met at the State House in Kawo, held a
meeting with Directors in all the State Civil Service and told them the
Governor has ordered they all deliver their polling units or consider
themselves fired from their jobs,” the source who does not want to be
named told Pointblanknews.com.

The source added that the SSG told the Directors that Governor Elrufai
knows all their polling units and would be monitoring to make sure they
all win their polling units.
