Yinka Odumakin, the political activist and publicity secretary of the Pan-Yoruba political group, Afenifere is dead.
Odumakin, aged 56, died after suffering from the Coronavirus at Lagos University Teaching Hospital Isolation Center, a family source told pointblanknews.com.
A very strong voice during the era of the Military junta, Odumakin played a major role in the National Democratic Coalition, NADECO, that fought the regime of late military head of state, General Sani Abacha, after the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election.
As spokesman of the Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Odumakin has consistently fought for the interest of the Yoruba nation.
