Corruption: Again, Fubara Shuns CCB Invitation As Bureau Mulls Tribunal Action

by Our Reporter
In less than two months, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara has again shunned the invitation of the Code Of Conduct Bureau (CCB) even as no reason was given for his action.
Pointblanknews.com recalls that Mr Fubara was first billed to appear before the Code Of Conduct Bureau (CCB) on Monday, 7th October, 2022 and answer questions bordering on alleged breach of conduct for public officials.
An invitation he flunked for no reason even as the River State governor, Nyesom Wike was alleged to be shopping for a judge to forestall the likelihood of any repacaution arising from Mr Fubara’s action.
In another letter as sited by Pointblanknews.com dated 15th November 2022, Mr Fubara was again summoned to appear before CCB at its headquarters in Abuja on the 25th of November 2022.
Again, findings reveal that he shunned the invitation without giving any reason as to why he refused to appear.
As a fall out of this, insider sources revealed to Pointblanknews.com that the bureau is considering referring the matter to the Code Of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for further action.
“I can tell you that Mr Fubara refused to show up again without reason. The bureau is not taking this issue lightly as it is considering getting the matter to the Code Of Conduct Tribunal.”
Pointblanknews.com recalls that Mr Fubara is also wanted by the Economic and Financial Crims Commission (EFCC) over N435 billion fraud, despite winning the primary election of the PDP ahead of the 2023 elections.
His ambition is widely speculated to have the blessings of the state governor, Nyesom Wike.
