The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the merging opposition parties under the All Progressive Congress (APC) are unfocused and unorganised to rule Nigeria.

The party also disclosed that it will on Friday commence a reconciliatory tour of all its members in the six geo-political zones in the country.

Speaking with newsmen after unveiling the programme of the tour, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Oliseh Metuh said there are no conditions for the reconciliation as every member is free to come for the exercise.

Regarding the accusations by the opposition that PDP was behind the move to frustrate the registration of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Metuh dismissed that as the ranting of a group that is incompetent, disorganized, lacks foresight and an agenda.

“We are happy that Nigerians are seeing the crop of people ranting that they would want to wrestle power from the PDP; they have never come up to tell Nigerians what plans they have for the country, what their agenda is and so forth.

“But they went on a jamboree making noise without even doing the basic process of registering their party. The PDP is a focused party and we do not have a hand in their carelessness. Their action goes a long way to showing how disorganized they are.”

He also dismissed insinuations that there is division in the newly formed PDP Governors’ Forum. However, he declined comments on the decision of the Federal Government to grant pardon so some politicians saying the party leadership has not discussed the issue.

This is just as the party has concluded plans to unveil its new highly interactive website in addition to its facebook and twitter platforms.

Metuh said the tour is in line with the Triple ‘R’ of Reconciliation, Reformation and Rebuilding Agenda of the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

Metuh said the new website and the social media platforms have been designed to feature multimedia applications for real time and up-to-date information using text, photographs and video materials.

He gave the web address as peoplesdemocraticparty.com.ng, while the facebook and twitter accounts are officialpeoplesdemocraticparty and @pdpnigeria respectively.

Shading more light on the tour, Metuh said the National Chairman, in consultation with the National Working Committee of the party has decided to use the occasion of the one year anniversary of the NWC to open a new chapter that will be all inclusive and all involving of all members of the party.

The tour is expected to commence on Friday March 15, 2013 and end with a grand finale at the International Conference Center, Abuja on March 24, 2013 to coincide with the First Anniversary of the current leadership of the party.
