Suspected Islamic Militant sect, Boko Haram numbering about 15 have on Wednesday night attacked and shot dead two Nigerian Customs Service Officers in Dikwa town 60 Kilometres away from Maiduguri, Borno State Capital.
Comptroller of Nigeria Customs Service in charge of Borno and Yobe states Alhaji Yerima confirmed the killing today in Maiduguri grave yard where the deceased were buried.
Some 15 suspected Boko Haram terrorist had attacked the a checkpoint of the Nigerian Customs where two officers were killed and subsequently burnt while others escaped with bullets wounds, Police officials said.
A top security official said the operational vehicles belonging to the Nigerian Customs were burnt during the attack while two other vehicles were carted away by the Islamic militants.
